After many months of development and with full GA coming sometime in the next couple of months, Lotus Quickr 8.5 Services for Domino has now been loaded onto the Lotus Greenhouse.

Community Manager Peter Burkhardt reports:

Lotus Quickr Domino 8.5 Beta upgrade complete

We have completed the upgrade of our Lotus Quickr Domino server to the 8.5 Beta version for everyone to try out!!  This upgrade took slightly longer than expected due to the number of places that we have (we'll need to do some archiving soon), but was very straight forward.  Please try it out and let us know what you think by posting comments and any issues that you may encounter to the Lotus Quickr Forum or send us an e-mail.
Check out the Greenhouse Quickr 8.5 environment:

Well done to the team for getting the new release online.

2) I’m Loving it!

I can't tell you how happy I am with what I'm seeing from Quickr for Domino 8.5. I've been playing with it on greenhouse and I gotta say, they officially knocked it out of the ball park. With 8.2 you had (and I'm sorry to say this being that I am old school Lotus) a decent but less than impressive collab platform. The calendar was weak (to be mild), the rich text editor was one of the more frustrating things I've come across in years and lack of user friendly "save" and "upload" buttons caused me to drink heavily. We've been holding off going live at my company HOPING that 8.5 would make things right. I think it will! I'm juiced! The site features and functionality finally make sense for common users. I'm really liking it!

I'll see you next month in London. Can't wait!

3) News on Mac version?

Are there any news about Mac Connectors or Notes client integration for the Mac/OSX?

Thanks

Oliver
