Lotus Quickr residency

This is great news, which I have been waiting a very long time for...  IBM's ITSO organisation are asking for volunteers to take part in a RedWiki virtual residency:

Lotus Remote Residency Wiki Project - Customizing Quickr 8.1, LO-Q803-R01

Benefits to resident:

Do you have experience working with and customizing Lotus Quickr? Do you have practical experience and techniques that you want to share for customizing and developing solutions using Lotus Quickr? Would you like to contribute your knowledge to a new wiki deliverable project? If so, we want you to join our virtual team.

By participating in this residency you'll gain hands-on, practical experience in working with and customizing Lotus Quickr 8.1. You will also interact remotely with other highly skilled residents, and members of the Lotus product management and development teams.

The ITSO in conjunction with Lotus is conducting this remote residency to create a new deliverable that uses wiki technology. Wikis are a relatively new Web browser-based technology that allows remote collaboration to create a new form of on-line document. You can be a part of this leading-edge effort for a new way of delivering quality technical documentation. Getting involved in this project will give you an opportunity to learn new collaboration tools and techniques, to learn more about leading customization techniques for Lotus Quickr 8.1. As with other ITSO residencies, you will be able to pass your knowledge to other IBM employees, business partners, and customers. Working alongside and exchanging knowledge with other highly skilled residents and some of the top experts in the IBM Lotus community, you will develop a competitive edge that will serve you well in successful customization efforts of Quickr 8. In addition, you will get recognition for being an author of this wiki!

******* Important consideration for this remote residency ***********

If you are interested in contributing, have the necessary skills in customizing Lotus Quickr, and have the drive and motivation to work on your own, then please apply. This is purely a remote / virtual residency, which means you will not need to travel to participate. The ITSO will not pay for any expenses incurred during your involvement with this residency.

Since this is a relatively short residency (July 14th - August 22nd), you must commit to contribute at least 20 hours of your time per week. When you apply for this residency, we will contact your manager to ensure that your manager supports your participation in this residency. It is important to note that you will be working on a virtual team from your own location. We expect individuals who are involved in this project to make real contributions to this project. You will be expect to virtually attend all the various kickoff, status, and review meetings that will be scheduled on a North American time zone to make sure this residency stays on track and is able to deliver a quality technical document at the end of the residency.

Description:

The focus of this remote / virtual residency is on creating content to expand the Lotus Quickr wiki with Customizing information. The deliverable for this residency will be content in the Lotus Quickr Wiki providing information on how to perform specific customizations within a Quickr 8.1 environment.

Topics to be covered include:

- Fundamental concepts as they relate to Quickr customization,
