Subscribe via EmailFairly close on the heels of Lotus Quickr connectors HF8, we have an updated set, HF10.
It seems as though there were a number of fairly significant issues with HF8, and at least three of them have been seen by customers I work with. However, you have to applaud the speed of release of this new set, very timely indeed.
These are the issues listed as being resolved in HF10:
- can't run rcplauncherSo, if you run Notes 8.0.2 or 8.5beta, I would heartily recommend you look to download and deploy the HF10 connectors.
- LOTUS NOTES CAN CRASH WHEN WORKING WITH THE NOTES CONNECTOR AND SAVING AN ATTACHMENT TO QUICKR
- Notes 8.5 – Cannot create a bookmark from Quickr Document
- New Version available reported after upgrade
- Missing File menu “Insert Lotus Quickr Link”
- Cannot open document or link in chat

It's nice how IBM releases the software quite often. The installer just stops at about 80% of the progress bar and consumes 90% of CPU. Nothing happens till now for about 30 minutes, I tried twice already (rebooted meanwhile). No logging, no error messages, nothing. I use Notes 8.0.2 on Vista and none of the Quickr buttons in Notes work, I expected this HF to fix these issues but it simply cannot be installed, what a crap :(
Don't waste any more time on HF10, Alex. It is broken in just too many places. Try to fall back to HF9 if you can, or else wait for HF11.
